Fire alarms are seen and heard - Partnership integrates audible and visual alerts

NORTHFORD, Conn.—In a partnership designed to enhance its emergency communications systems offerings, Gamewell- FCI by Honeywell announced in September it’s working with Alertus Technologies to integrate audible and visual notification devices and Alertus’ IP network command software. Gamewell-FCI, based here, said its E3 Series of fire alarm and other emergency communications systems can “integrate seamlessly” with Alertus’ “wall-mounted Alert Beacons, text-to-speech interface modules, digital signage and computer desktop alerts.”

Quake shakes up thinking - East Coast tremblor may create seismic-certified product demand

WESTBURY, N.Y.—Gamewell-FCI by Honeywell announced in September its fire alarm and emergency communications systems earned International Building Code seismic certification. The announcement, shortly after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the East Coast on Aug. 23, was very timely, according to Alan Glassman, VP of Classic Systems, a Gamewell-FCI engineered systems distributor here.
